This restaurant is known for it's all-day breakfast menu, amazing food, and excellent customer service.

After diving into some serious research (which, of course, included a mandatory pancake taste test), I knew I wanted to center this design around breakfast.

I made sure to highlight Old Glory's top selling items, bringing their colorful flavors to life in a playful way.

I creatively re-imagined the brand's recognizable design elements, like their logo and mascot, blending them with my personal style while staying true to Old Glory's visual identity.

Final Design, Made in Adobe Illustrator.

The initial sketch remained largely intact in the final design, with a few key refinements.

I replaced the slogan on the flag with a traditional 13-star American flag and simplified the background by removing small stars. The blueberries originally stacking to pull a napkin were redesigned as a group pouring syrup onto a waffle, replacing the plate of eggs. These adjustments helped refine the composition while keeping the design fun and dynamic.

Detailed Sketch made with acrylic paint pens (Posca).

Logo Variation

Photo from Restaurant Guru

Rather than putting the drummer behind the flag, like the current logo showed on the right, I placed him on top of a stack of pancakes to highlight the fun atmosphere in this restaurant and their top selling breakfast item. The main center piece is a banner with "Old Glory" on it to keep an old-timey feel to the piece and add extra movement. I incorporated the brand's color palette of red, white, and blue, to tie in their patriotic theme.
